Popular local eatery expands into larger, centrally-located space in Airport dining area; Expansion is a component of ongoing ROC Renovation Project
Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo today celebrated the official opening of the new and improved Gusto Ristorante at the Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC). A popular, locally owned and operated eatery for nearly two decades, Gusto has now expanded into a larger, centrally-located space in the Airport’s dining area. Gusto’s relocation and expansion is a component of Monroe County’s ongoing ROC Renovation Project.
“We are thrilled to welcome local-favorite Gusto Ristorante into this beautiful new and expanded space at the center of our Airport,” said Dinolfo. “When we ask travelers what they value most in an airport, unique dining options are at the top of the list. Gusto has been a popular option at ROC for nearly a decade and its new location will help Patrick serve even more passengers and their families for years to come. This is just the latest exciting development in our ROC Renovation Project, which is already helping to attract more visitors, jobs, and investment to our community.”
Gusto Ristorante offers an Italian café atmosphere and is owned and operated by Patrick Giuliano, a second generation restaurateur. Patrick and his father owned and operated Pat’s Coffee Shop for 60 years, the last 18 of which were at Monroe County’s Ontario Beach Park. Gusto Ristorante operated for 10 years on Alexander Street and has been operational at the ROC Airport for the past 9 years.
“This is a very exciting new beginning for Gusto in Monroe County’s Greater Rochester International Airport,” said Giuliano.
Gusto is now located west of the passenger security checkpoint in the main food court before passengers reach Concourse A. Menu favorites include: Paninis made to order, homemade soups, homemade meatballs, fresh handmade burgers and beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino and affogato (cappuccino topped with vanilla ice cream).
