Traffic & Pedestrian Pattern Updates Passengers should expect lane reductions upon entering terminal property from Brooks Avenue.  A single piece of the tensile fabric membrane was placed on the first steel structure this week, work will continue to fasten the fabric for a permanent installation.  A crane remains onsite and installation of terminal entrance canopy steel is progressing. The Upper Level Departures roadway remains CLOSED until project completion at the end of October 2018.  All traffic must use the Lower Level Roadway for both Arrivals & Departures. Family and friends picking up passengers are highly encouraged to stage in the new Smart Phone Lot, to reduce curbside congestion, until they have been notified that their party is at the curb with luggage ready for pick up.  For more information on this terminal roadway change, click here.

The Arrivals Level remains impacted with detours for various entrances and exits to the terminal and related crosswalks. Shuttle, Rideshare and RTS Bus Pick Up is taking place at the EAST end of the arrivals roadway, marked with a GREEN #16 at Lower Exit B.  Valet Operations have been suspended until the Fall of 2018.  Valet passengers may wish to use Premium Parking in the Long Term Ramp Garage during this time.  For more information on Premium Parking, click here

Terminal Update  Preparation and construction for future relocation for existing food concessions continues.  Subway opened this week in its permanent location. Demolition continues in the Rotunda areas connected to the concourses to prepare space for the concessions and the Strong Museum of Play Interactive Play Zones.  HVAC system component replacement continues in the terminal.

Security Update Four lanes of the newly designed passenger security checkpoint have opened in their permanent location.  Passengers may notice lane changes for TSA PreCheck and Priority Lanes have shifted.  Signage is evolving and Airport Ambassadors are assisting during peak volume hours.  Work will now shift to the other side of the passenger security checkpoint to complete the transformation of the center of the terminal.  Four passenger screening checkpoint lanes are operational in the new space. During high volume travel periods, the secondary passenger security checkpoint - “Checkpoint A” will remain operational with two checkpoint lanes near the American Airlines Ticketing counter.

As a reminder to passengers, please arrive at least Airport 90 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time.

Ticketing/Gate Update All Airline ticketing counters remain in their current locations from East to West: United Airlines, Air Canada, Southwest, Delta Air Lines, JetBlue, Allegiant & American Airlines.  Hearing Loop installation is complete.  Hearing loops are a direct communication to a hearing aid from a FM wire loop broadcast system.  This system will provide passengers who use hearing aids clear delivery of any public address announcements.

Parking Update All parking lots remain open. The ROC Airport Smart Phone Lot is open and operating. This lot is located on Airport Way - the first right hand turn as you approach the terminal from Brooks Avenue and is complete with a large flight information display screen. To reduce roadway congestion family and friends picking up passengers are encouraged to use this lot.
