Security Update Beginning Tuesday January 16th, the existing passenger security checkpoint will be under construction and four checkpoint lanes will be operational in this location. During high volume travel periods, a secondary passenger security checkpoint - “Checkpoint A” will be temporarily operational during this time with two checkpoint lanes near the American Airlines Ticketing counter. (Read Full Story Here) Way finding signage will be visible and employees will be assisting passengers. As a reminder, passengers need to arrive at the Airport 90 minutes prior to their scheduled departure times.
Traffic & Pedestrian Pattern Updates A road closure remains in effect for ALL lower level outer roadway traffic. The Upper Level Departures roadway remains open at all times for dropping off departing or picking up arriving passengers. Over the next few weeks, this roadway will see increasing construction activity.
The Arrivals Level remains impacted with detours for various entrances and exits to the terminal and related crosswalks. Shuttle and RTS Bus Pick Up has moved to the west end of the arrivals roadway. All Valet operations (pick up and drop off) are taking place on the lower level arrivals roadway. Rideshare pick up is also taking place on the lower level arrivals roadway.
Terminal Update Terminal entrance canopy site preparation continues between the parking garage and the terminal. Construction continues for the planned relocation of the Hudson News Store in the food court.
Terminal/Security/Gate Update All Airline ticketing counters remain in their current locations from East to West: United Airlines, Air Canada, Southwest, Delta Air Lines, JetBlue, Allegiant & American Airlines.
Parking Update All parking lots remain open. The ROC Airport Smart Phone Lot is open and operating. This lot is located on Airport Way - the first right hand turn as you approach the terminal from Brooks Avenue and is complete with a large flight information display screen. To reduce roadway congestion family and friends picking up passengers are encouraged to use this lot.
Bid opportunities currently available for the project can be reviewed at the Monroe County Purchasing website.
